We are currently recruiting for a part-time position at our Brooklyn, NY gallery.
Our assistant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the gallery, providing assistance broadly across all departments. Tasks vary greatly and are dependent on workflow, as well as the exhibition schedule.
The responsibilities include the following:
• Maintaining and updating all social media platforms
• Assisting with research projects
• Updating and maintaining the gallery website
• Updating and maintaining the gallery inventory management database
• Assisting at gallery opening receptions, art fairs and,
• Arranging art shipping, postal mailings and art handling services
Tasks may become more in depth and require working in a project management capacity with graphic designers, photographers and art handlers and shippers. The assistant should be proficient in photoshop, Microsoft word and excel, all social media platforms, and possess a basic understanding of InDesign.
Some assignments can be carried out remotely. Additional hours may be required during art fairs.
