Welcome to the Arizona District for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. This year's auditions will be held on Saturday December 9th at the Arizona State University's Katzin Concert Hall, 50 E Gammage Parkway, Tempe, AZ.
This year's Arizona District competition is open to the public, free general admission. Our judges will be Garnett Bruce, Yvette Loynaz and Erie Mills. Our pianist is Jennifer Hoppe.
Singers who have advanced to the District round will be notified when registration has opened. You will be prompted to log in to your Dashboard, select a District, and pay the $30 application fee to reserve your spot. The Arizona District is an OPEN DISTRICT, meaning singers who have not passed the pre-qualification round are still invited and encouraged to sing and receive feedback from the judges.
Free parking is available for singers and audience members at the venue. Singers are encouraged to arrive up to one hour early. Warmup space is available. Follow signage for checkin.
