The Wilkinson Young Singers Fund is pleased to announce our appeal for applicants for our 2022 awards. Following a successful inaugural year under the auspices of The Boston Camerata, we are increasing the amount of the awards to $2,000 and $1,000 and are now a separate Massachusetts 501(c)(3) charitable organization. What are your artistic goals? In what ways has your singing had an impact on your community in the past or present? How do you envision your music contributing to your community in the future? Maximum length: 400 words
Two video performances
Totaling no longer than 10 minutes, the two performances must be representative of your current abilities and no more than one year old. (Videos may be links or video files.) One selection must be in the classical style (i.e., opera, oratorio or art song). In order to display range and versatility, the second selection should be in a contrasting style (i.e., musical theater, the ‘‘modern” American songbook, or jazz). One of the pieces must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language.
