The New Orleans District winners of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 will advance to the Gulf Coast Regional Competition on Sunday, January 15th, 2023, along with the District winners from Houston, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
The District auditions will be judged by Brian Speck – Director of Houston Grand Opera Studio; Mark Schnaible - Voice Teacher at Manhattan School of Music; and Bill Palant - Etude Arts, Founder and Managing Director.
The Regional auditions will be judged by Yvette Loynaz - Director of Artistic Administration, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis; Alex Fletcher – Founder, Fletcher Artist Management; Myra Huang - Head of Music, Metropolitan Lindemann's Young Artist Development Program
