From local auditions to the grand finals at the Met, this prestigious program is a launchpad for emerging talent and a celebration of vocal excellence. Some of today’s greatest opera stars got their start in the competition, including Jamie Barton, Stephanie Blythe, Lawrence Brownlee, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Emily D'Angelo, Michael Fabiano, Renée Fleming, Susan Graham, Ryan Speedo Green, Lisette Oropesa, Eric Owens, Nadine Sierra, and Christian Van Horn.

The Rocky Mountain Region Laffont Competition includes winners from the Arizona, Colorado-Wyoming, Idaho-Montana, Mexico, and Utah Districts.
The Rocky Mountain Region Laffont Competition will be live-streamed. The broadcast will be available for viewing by invitation only. Invitations will be extended to our Met district and region members/donors and our participating singers and their families.
This event is free and open to the public, however we do request a $10 minimum donation at the door to help provide prize monies to our singers.
