Guidance Regarding COVID-19:
Please note that all Laffont Competition singers, accompanists and judges - plus any volunteers who are interacting directly with singers, accompanists and judges - will need to be fully vaccinated and be able to show proof of that fact.
For others visiting the Colburn School (e.g. in non-singer facing volunteer roles or to join the audience for the District rounds or the Regional Finals), masks are not required to visit the Colburn campus - but it's fine if any individual prefers to wear a mask. Also, for audience members, in accordance with LA County Department of Public Health recommendations, The Colburn School encourages patrons aged six months and older to be fully vaccinated (including booster dose/s, if eligible) or to obtain a negative COVID-19 test before coming to campus. However, this is not required to attend Colburn performances.
Of course we will adjust these rules to reflect any changes in requirements that are notified to us by the venue or by the Metropolitan Opera before or on the date of the Western Regional Final.
