The Nebraska District is part of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition; district winners proceed to the Upper Midwest Regional competition.
Singers that have advanced to the District Round will receive a notification regarding the opening of registration. You will be prompted to log in to your Dashboard, select a District, and pay the $30 application fee to reserve your spot. The Nebraska District is an "open" district, so any singer who participated in, but did not advance beyond, the Qualifying Round may register for any available remaining slots once the qualifying singers have registered. Districts are limited to 25 singers and will operate on a first come, first served basis.
Current Covid-19 Requirements:
All singers, accompanists, judges and volunteers must be vaccinated.
As of January 2023, there is no indoor mask mandate in effect at NWU or in Lancaster County, where Lincoln is located. But we will be following any Covid-19 regulations in place at the time of our District Audition.
