The Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition-North Carolina District
Singers that have advanced to the District Round will receive a notification regarding the opening of registration. You will be prompted to log in to your Dashboard, select a District, and pay the $30 application fee to reserve your spot. Districts are limited to 25 singers and will operate on a first come, first served basis.
The North Carolina District Auditions are in their 27th year in Charlotte, NC. In that time we have heard more than 500 singers many of whom have gone on to national and international careers. Some of our alumni include tenor Rene Barbera, baritone, Lucas Meachem, and soprano, Elizabeth Caballero.
