Reporting to the Associate Dean of Mannes, the Program and Administration Manager manages a number of BM, MM, and PDPL program initiatives, oversees office administration, and leads special projects initiated by the Associate Dean. The Program and Administration Manager also works across the entire College of Performing Arts, serving as a key liaison between CoPA and the university’s office of Strategic Enrollment Management.

Distinguished Mannes alumni include the 20th-century songwriting legend Burt Bacharach, the great pianists Michel Camilo, Richard Goode, Murray Perahia, and Bill Evans, acclaimed conductors Semyon Bychkov, Myung-Whun Chung, JoAnn Falletta, and Julius Rudel, beloved mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade, as well as the great opera stars of today, Yonghoon Lee, Danielle de Niese, and Nadine Sierra.

This is an onsite position with opportunities for some remote work throughout the year. Some nights and weekends are required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead Mannes’s ESL+M (English as a Second Language Plus Music) program in collaboration with the offices of Advising and English Language Support.
- With the Associate Dean, manage and oversee part-time faculty coordinators across Mannes
- Assist in the planning and execution of Mannes special events, public events, donor events, and community gatherings (town halls, faculty meetings, etc.)
- Plan and execute a calendar of internal communications for Mannes students and faculty
- Hire and oversee students workers to provide general administrative and clerical support at Mannes
- Work across the college and in collaboration with the university’s Office of Research and Decision Support to maintain and provide reports on enrollment, faculty teaching history, demographic data, and other areas that support strategic decision-making
- Provide counsel, advice, and guidance to the Dean and Associate Dean of the School of Mannes on a range of strategic and operational issues
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean and Strategic Enrollment Management to plan auditions, admissions and recruitment events, interviews, new student orientation activities, campus tours, class visits, scholarship and admission committees, and other admission and recruitment activities and events
- With the Associate Dean, manage and oversee studio assignment and teacher match process for Mannes students at all degree levels.
